We want to walk the path to a more sustainable future together with you.
That's why we also want to transparently show what we have already achieved on this journey - how much plastic waste and other environmental impacts we have already saved together. In the hope that it will inspire our community, as well as other people, to go much further. After all, there can't be too much positive impact.
For all our products that replace a conventional product in a single-use plastic bottle (all our cleaners, dishwashing liquids, rinse aids, shower gel, hand soap), we count one saved single-use plastic bottle per tab or sachet sold.
Here we count the chemicals that our laundry detergents save. By chemicals, we mean those ingredients that we eliminate completely or use in reduced amounts: mainly surfactants, enzymes and fillers.
Most other detergents recommend that the harder the water, the more detergent you use to increase the amount of water softener. But at the same time, you are overdosing on unnecessary surfactants, enzymes and fillers.
Our detergents, on the other hand, can be ordered online with the water hardness adjusted to your zip code: soft, medium or hard. This allows us to provide the same dosage for different water hardnesses. To calculate the chemicals saved, we compare our dosage with the average dosage of commercial powder detergents depending on the water hardness (soft, medium, hard). When using everdrop detergent for hard water, the savings of chemicals as described above are particularly high.
In retail we offer our detergents without the water hardness concept, but even there we save chemicals due to our compact formulation. Here, we compare our dosage recommendation depending on water hardness with the commercial dosage recommendation. All calculations are made in grams (instead of milliliters) to ensure the best possible comparability. This is the total area of plastic film that everdrop products save - because we send products that are normally wrapped in film to you hull-less.
If you follow this website very closely, you may have noticed that there used to be a slightly higher number here. Super embarrassing, but there was a transfer error from Excel to the website. We noticed it and changed the number immediately. The one you see now is correct. It is the sum of all the amounts with which we have supported organizations that pursue social and/or sustainable causes since our founding. This includes both financial and material support. We have used it to support women's, children's, and LGBTQI+ initiatives, and to organize relief efforts for Ukraine. We have also collected plastic waste from nature and done local clean-ups with various partners.
The figure measures how many tonnes of plastic waste we have collected together with all our partners worldwide since everdrop was founded.

Thanks to our products that come in tabs and powders, we can save up to 97 % in transport emissions compared to commercially available products. For the absolute reduction of CO2 equivalents, we compare the average transport emissions per refill product on the way from the production site to your home with the transport emissions of a common cleaning product on the way from the production site to the retail outlet. Important factors for comparison are, among others, the number of powder bags or tabs per pallet, the weight and packaging, and the transport distance. The emission factors for transport are taken from the DEFRA database, the primary data is provided by our suppliers and the assumptions for the commercial products by industry experts.
